Recovery from Narcissistic Abuse

02.04.10

That’s the topic of this week’s show (Friday, February 5th @ 9am Pacific) www.SpiritualShow.com

We’ll be speaking with Kaleah Laroche, who suffered through two relationships with narcissistic men. It was only after she spoke with a psychiatrist that she realized she had likely been involved with someone with a personality disorder called Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Here’s a breif description of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, according to mentalhealth.com

“Narcissistic personality disorder is a condition characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, need for admiration, extreme self-involvement, and lack of empathy for others. Individuals with this disorder are usually arrogantly self-assured and confident. They expect to be noticed as superior. Many highly successful individuals might be considered narcissistic. However, this disorder is only diagnosed when these behaviors become persistent and very disabling or distressing.”

We’ll be discussing what happens when someone with seemingly regular mental health becomes involved with a narcissist, the complications that can arise, and the subsequent healing that takes place when one is able to move past the relationship.

It’s going to be a very interesting hour!
